John Cho is a MAN!
John Cho sure had a man week. He was selected as one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men (for the second time) and he showed up at GQ’s Men of the Year ceremony at the Chateau Marmont. And he’s having a good career year with a big part in Star Trek and on ABC’s FlashForward. Not bad for a guy who smoked pot in Harold and Kumar and coined the acronym “MILF.”

What are the hottest flats in South Korea?
According to an article in the Korean Economic Daily, the hottest flats worn by Korean women are from Tory Burch. Maybe that’s why the Wonder Girls showed up at her shop during Fashion Week.

John Cho is Now GQ

John Cho has a big spread in the latest GQ magazine.  Let us rephrase it this way: There’s a Korean-American man who is splashed across multiple pages in the American magazine called GQ, Gentlemen’s Quarterly.  Boy we’ve come a long way!  Not just one page, but multiple pages with John Cho as the featured model wearing $6,000 suits and $400 shirts.  What’s next?  Featured porn star?  That’s taking it a bit to far but let’s get back to the reality that John Cho is the Korean-American who is truly the pioneer in Hollywood for Asian-Americans.  He’s now made a big stamp in Hollywood and his work is opening doors and opportunities for others.  Not to long ago, we all could relate to this little story from GQ.

When John Cho was a kid growing up in Los Angeles, seeing a face like his on TV was a cometlike occurrence. When one appeared, “we’d all crowd into the living room,” Cho says. “All Asians grew up doing that.” The situation has improved only somewhat in the two decades since Long Duk Dong, Cho says. “There was a while where every role I was getting offered was extremely noble—like the judge or the kindly nurse.”

Isn’t it great that not only John but other Korean-Americans are more prominent in television and in film.  The list is getting longer every year and there’s only going to be more on the screen.  Well, John is about to premiere in a new network TV series called Flash Forward on ABC and he’s coming off a summer as one of the featured characters in the summer blockbuster Star Trek.  He’s had a helluva year, whether you’re Asian or not.  And to top off his great summer, he’s got his own fashion spread in GQ.  Check out the man of the hour below.
