The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show was finally shown on CBS on Tuesday night and there were fresh new faces walking the V-shaped catwalk.  One of the freshest of faces was the very young looking Chanel Iman, who happens to be partially Korean: she’s of African-American and Korean descent.  She’s one of the fastest rising stars in modeling and she’s getting a lot of attention lately and not just because her name (Chanel) is synonymous with one of the most prestigious fashion houses.  She was discovered at the age of sixteen and in just four years, she has flown around the world multiple times to strut her stuff on the biggest catwalks in fashion from Dolce & Gabbana to Valentino.  She’s been on numerous covers like Vogue and Bazaar.  One of fashion and TV’s biggest stars took notice of young Chanel Iman.  Tyra Banks took Chanel under her wing, giving her guidance and encouragement throughout her young modeling career.  Well, Chanel was super excited to finally get her moment in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as one of the five new angels.

The Victoria’s Secret show is one of the hardest tickets to get.  It’s easier to get into the Super Bowl than this lingerie spectacle because it’s strictly invite only and you will never find these tickets on StubHub or eBay.  Well one of our KB folks found himself dazing at the 6 foot tall ladies in lingerie on the evening of November 19th at the Armory in New York City.  The show was on CBS on December 1st and you probably saw Chanel Iman marching down the V-shaped runway.  If you don’t know, Chanel is partially Korean and one of two people of Asian descent to be in the super bowl of fashion, the Victoria’s Secret show.  The blackberry picture above is the only proof that our man was there.  He was also lucky to get entrance into the after party where he met the models and Kings of Leon.  Apparently the ladies were all gaga over the band.  However, even with all the models walking around at the after party, it was Jay Z in tuxedo that had everyone’s eyes.  So the real celebrity of the after party that had the models gazing was the king of hip hop, Mr. Jay Z.

So who do the Korean boys want to date?  Netizens were asked which “Female celebrity you would most want to have a date with on Korea’s first snowfall of the year.“  Well, according to an Internet poll that was conducted last week, Jessica of the very large girl band SNSD was the winner with 30% of the 792 votes.

John Cho is a MAN!
John Cho sure had a man week. He was selected as one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men (for the second time) and he showed up at GQ’s Men of the Year ceremony at the Chateau Marmont. And he’s having a good career year with a big part in Star Trek and on ABC’s FlashForward. Not bad for a guy who smoked pot in Harold and Kumar and coined the acronym “MILF.”

According to an article in the Korean Economic Daily, the hottest flats worn by Korean women are from Tory Burch. Maybe that’s why the Wonder Girls showed up at her shop during Fashion Week.

Chanel Iman is partially Korean and she strutted her stuff down the Victoria’s Secret lingerie show in New York last week. It’s referred to as the Super Bowl for supermodels.  How many Korean girls have that kind of bootie?!
