Ningin recently sat down with Glee’s Jenna Ushkowitz.  They ask her what life is like on the super popular show.  If you’ve been reading your Kindle and not watching TV, then were here to tell you that Glee was the big hit of this past fall.  Korean adoptee Jenna Ushkowitz plays the role of Tina where she belts out melodies that make you want to sing along with her.  Enjoy the interview.

JI: Can you tell us how you got your start in show business?

JU: My parents put me in at the age of 3 in commercials and Print. My first job was a Playskool Print ad. I really got into Musical Theatre when I made my Broadway debut in ‘The King and I’ Revival in 1996. I fell in love with singing and dancing and pursued it in high school and college. I was in my ‘Select Choir’ in high school (which was our version of glee, I guess) and I took acting, dance and voice everyday in high school. I have a BA in Acting and a minor in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College. About 6 months later, I got the role of a swing in the Broadway musical ‘Spring Awakening’ and then I ended up booking Glee a year later!

Jenna Ushkowitz, an adopted Korean who is a cast member of the ever popular show Glee (Fox network), had the opportunity to sing in front of the President’s family at the White House. She sang the classic 80′s song made famous by Cyndi Lauper, “True Colors.”

“I’m done,” she tells the new issue of Entertainment Weekly.  “We just finalized our agreement,” continues Heigl, 31, who played Dr. Izzie Stevens on the ABC medical drama for six seasons. “Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It’s sad but it’s what I wanted.”

She says she wants more time to focus on her 16-month-old daughter Naleigh, whom she adopted from South Korea with husband Josh Kelley last September.

“I started a family and it changed everything for me,” says Heigl, who took a three-month leave after welcoming her baby girl. “It changed my desire to work full-time.”

Katherine Heigl is on maternity leave from her TV show “Grey’s Anatomy” so she can spend quality time with her newly adopted baby girl, Naleigh.  Mrs. Heigl is actually celebrating her daughter’s birthday today, which is a day before her own birthday.

“She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign.”

Katherine Heigl, who is the second highest earning actress on primetime TV, was out and about recently with her newly adopted daughter from Korea – Naleigh Kelly.   She happens to be a special needs baby and it’s great that Katherine Heigl looked to adoption to start her family.  These are the latest pictures of Katherine and Naleigh out and about.

We all love the fact that Katherine Heigl adopted a baby girl from South Korea.  But did you know that her baby Naleigh actually had heart surgery.  Katherine opened up about her newly adopted baby.

“She had two holes in her heart when she was born, so she had open-heart surgery when she was 3 months old… Naleigh’s definitely getting stronger, so much so that she’s crawling and starting to pull herself up.”

“We’ll add to our family eventually. Naleigh’s so good, though, that our next kid is probably going to be a little hellion.”

Oh btw, did you know Katherine’s sister is adopted from Korea.
