Meet our past interns

Korean Beacon has truly given me the opportunity to combine my passion for writing with my love of everything Korean. It’s definitely not one of those filing/get-the-coffee/answer-the-phone internships; you actually write, and you get to write about the best food joints, the most ambitious people, and the latest current events. It has been such a great experience!

Working at the Korean Beacon this summer was an experience that I'm lucky to have had. It was an opportunity to take a closer look at Korean American issues, and the freedom I had writing was very unique. I was a writer for the Beacon for just a few short months, but I plan on being a committed reader for many more.

The things I have learned, people I have met, and events I have experienced through this internship have helped me appreciate my Korean culture in a new way and will undoubtedly stick with me throughout my career.
