Korean Food USA is a new series that showcases Korean and Korean-inspired eateries all around the nation.
The Yellow Vendor, previously known as the “Bulgogi Cart” by locals, is a food truck that is hard to miss in Washington, DC. Its bright yellow truck instantly catches your eye when walking down the street, but it’s the long lines and the people willing to wait for their famed bulgogi that really grabs your attention. Owner Andy Kim, who, pre-food truck, operated the Bulgogi Cart with his mother, makes heaping portions of delicious lunch box combos for a very reasonable price. You can choose from Bulgogi, Teriyaki Chicken, or Bibimbap, which are all equally delicious.
Yellow Vendor was formally known as the “Bulgogi Cart” by locals, so there must be something special about their bulgogi…
Yellow Vendor allows you to choose from two types of bulgogi: Spicy Bulgogi and Regular Bulgogi. The meat is so tender and juicy that it shocks eaters to think that it was from a food truck. Each combination plate comes with a side salad and kimchi, which are perfect to complete and balance the meal. Those that stop by the Yellow Vendor are always full and satisfied. For $7, it is definitely a bang for your buck!
