Anything and everything can be made into art; the perspective in which people view a certain piece, or the execution of an individual’s ideas can be crafted into something beautiful. Korean artist Airan Kang exemplifies this by creating beautiful works of art through something quite unconventional and unexpected: LED book installations.

Kang’s Light Reading show was an instant hit last year at the Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery in New York City. The sculpture of books was created using LED Lights, resin, and custom electronics. Kang stacked up to 18 books for a single sculpture, and created entire bookshelves for additional pieces.

Kang traveled around the world and observed many famous libraries and bookstores so she could replicate them in her pieces.
